AKU uses European (EU) sizing. Measure your foot length in centimetres in the evening (feet are widest then) and compare against the size chart on the product page. For boots worn with a thicker field sock we recommend going half a size to a full size up from your everyday shoe size.

Yes, the Gore-Tex membrane guarantees waterproofing while remaining breathable, so the foot also stays dry from the inside. For lasting membrane performance, clean mud off the boots regularly and re-proof the outer material with Gore-Tex-compatible products.

After field use remove mud with a soft brush and lukewarm water, without detergents. Dry at room temperature, never on a radiator or in direct sun, rapid heat damages adhesives and leather. Feed leather parts occasionally with wax or cream, and re-proof textile parts with a spray for membrane materials.
