The ProTac HL-X is a 1,300-lumen tactical handheld flashlight available in two configurations: rechargeable, with Streamlight's SL-B26 protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack, or non-rechargeable, with two CR123A lithium batteries. TEN-TAP Programming offers a choice of three user-selectable programs.

On high (SL-B26) it delivers 1,300 lumens, 35,000 candela, and a 374 m beam with a 1.5-hour runtime; with CR123A batteries runtime is 1.25 hours. Medium (420 lumens) and low (70 lumens) extend runtime further, and a strobe mode is also included.

The body is anodized aluminum with an unbreakable pocket clip. The light is IP68-rated, waterproof to 2 m and fully dust tight, and impact-resistance tested from 2 m. The anti-roll head prevents the light from rolling away.
